Kenyan App on Android: Nonini the Godfather

I just had to redo this application since you cannot talk about android apps in Kenya without mentioning such a lovely app by the Godfather. This application is owned by Noni  the Godfather who is the cream de la cream of Genge and developed by Reverb NationThis will most definitely be amongst my favorite Kenya applications. It is a well done application with the necessary features of a music streaming app. The application is available free for download on Google Play where it has more than 5000 downloads. With the official Nonini Mobile App you will be able to Stream music, watch videos, see pictures, read their blog and tweets and see when they are playing a show near you. Stay connected for the latest updates on Nonini (The Godfather) on your mobile device. I have not been able to come across a local application that is of this standard. I do believe that Noni and the developer knew exactly what the fans want.

The application runs smoothly on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and it is user friendly when it comes to the UI. This app requires Android 2.1 and above, its capacity is 4.1MB which I must say is not that bad considering what it’s all about. In order for you enjoy this application, you will need to have a data plan if you want to it on 3G or rather just try it out on WiFi.

With a 4.1 out of 5 rating on Google Play, you will have to agree with me that it is a success that could even be bigger if it was given the much publicity it deserves by the local media, the artist himself and even the partners.
