Safaricom's unlimited internet packages might get slower or be no more!

After releasing this famous song that got to help Kieni Forest’s Huruma Village IDP camp, Safaricom’s CEO Bob Collymore is now contemplating to cripple the only way thousands of Kenyans got to view and download this video on YouTube, which also amassed over 56,000 views.
According to Safaricom’s CEO, less than 1% of its unlimited internet subscribers are using more than 70% of the resources. He says the situation has put the company in a position where it has to choose between ending unlimited internet packages or worse still, throttling the package even further.
Currently, Safaricom offers four unlimited internet packages all throttled at a measly 512Kbps.
This means that if you are lucky enough to be living under a base station located in an area where you are the only person online, you might get download speeds of between 40 and 70Kbps.  For the rest of us, 20-30Kbps tops.
