Nokia releases browser updates for its S40 range of phones

Nokia has updated its browser to version to 2.0 improving the user experience. The upgrade is supposed to make the browser faster and easier for all users still using it, including the Nokia Asha range and Series 40 handsets. Nokia users love to rave about the browser because of how data friendly it is on monthly usage, this is due to the browser being able to condense data by up to 90 percent.
Now lets get back to what the update added; version 2.0 includes a slew of new features to make searching, discovering and sharing content easier than the previous version. The Browser now has a new, more intuitive, user interface with one-click access to top local sites from the start page. A new feature enables multitasking while browsing, meaning that you can switch between text messages and the web.
Nokia Browser 2.0 users will finally be able to share their searches by way of Facebook or Twitter inside the browser with the option of attaching a comment. Perhaps the coolest feature is the Nokia Browser now being able to support Web Apps, which boasts a catalogue of more than 10,000 applications.
Although these are much needed improvements to users of the Nokia Browser, most if not all of these additions Android and iOS have already had for years. The update supports all forms of Nokia Series 40: Touch, QWERTY and Non-Touch, including the Nokia Asha range, as well as popular devices such as the Nokia C3-00, Nokia C2-03 and Nokia X3-02. If you’re a new user, you can download it from the Nokia Store.
