Samsung Galaxy Note, why would I get this phone/ tablet hybrid that doesn't really sit in any category?

The Samsung Galaxy Note is a phone/ tablet hybrid that doesn't really sit in any category.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Neither. It's a tablet. Or a phone. Or both. We really don't know – but it has some of the best specs around.
As we all know, Samsung just launched its Galaxy Note phone in the Kenyan market. They did it big, even had the PS for communication grace the occasion. What do they call it? A phone, a tablet or what a gadget they might be calling it. Anyways I am no critic but as a consumer I will say they got so much to offer. How big will this gadget be in Kenya leave alone the world over? Well I am a techie and have been known go for slightly bigger phones and I 4.0 inches and above, matter of fact I just can't wait for my Xperia S but truth be told, how about the ladies or just those not into humongous phones or hybrids? Samsung has a range of a range of tablets and smart phones with more to come. Why would you go for a 5.3 inch gadget with a stylus oh did I say a stylus? Who uses that anymore? When you can just wait for the Samsung Galaxy S3 or better yet with the very amount you can buy a 10.1 inch galaxy tab....

The Galaxy Note essentially has everything you’d want in a smartphone: a great dual-core processor, a solid camera, a beautiful display and good build quality, and Under the hood, you'll find a dual-core 1.4GHz processor powering this beast and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage (which you can also expand by another 32GB with removable memory.)
A 2,500mAh battery should give you plenty of juice – but considering the size of the screen, which is always the biggest drainer, it may not go as far as one hopes.
Throw all of that right out the window.
The phone is too big. You will look stupid talking on it, people will laugh at you, and you’ll be unhappy if you buy it. I really can’t get around this, unfortunately, because Samsung pushed things way too far this time. You can’t use it one-handed, and I can’t even type on it easily with two hands. I’m almost offended by this product, and I love a lot of what Samsung is doing — in fact, the company’s current flagship could as well be my favorite Android smartphone in the world. But the Galaxy Note just feels like a joke. And the worst part, Look at the display and how it’s manufactured and designed. See any resemblances to anything else?
The mobile world congress is just around the corner and we might just be spoiled with a lot of options...
Note to Samsung: Just focus on a quality product, and you won’t have to release eight “flagship” models a year.

  1. I don't agree with you on this. I believe its a great product. Am seeing myself using this than a 7" tab. i can make my calls use stylus that will make my work easier than sometimes trying to use my thumbs. we know Sony has great products but Samsung are leading when it comes to innovation not on the 5" which was first introduces on Dell streak and become an instant hit in Europe. I bet its just a matter of time before all the other players jump ship to 5.3". you better think on this
