Lets get our monys worth

How often have you heard at the term the customer is the king? Does it really exist in this part of the world where the co-operates are empires and the marketing division are the “Nyaparaz” sent to enforce this unto us the general consumers.
How many times have you called the customer care line to find a “monkey” on the other end of the line that is if you lucky to get an answer at all. This is virtually in all industries and it’s even worse in the telecommunication and financial sector where you meet someone that is doing a products sales without understanding what it is. It pains me to see that a lot of Kenyans are courting a disaster by using substandard goods and services. It’s like our country is a dumpsite or a petri dish where all the social and economical ills are in cultivation. Where else in the world do you find a regulator being a violator or an accomplice in robbing the tax payers? I am not against performance and as a business school graduate; I know profit maximization is the motto for any organization. This is has been taken differently in Kenya where every organization takes the consumer for granted. I only buy what’s necessary in Kenya and import the rest because a lot of goods are twice the original price.
Now how about my people you tell me of the best places to get the best deals. As far as am concerned, am the only doing this thing on this blog. Let’s talk about gadgets, software, the ill-est programmers, web designers animators etc. I bet we have success stories when it comes to putting the customer first. Tell me of your experience with that ISP that you subscribe to its services. Feel free to comment or drop me mail. For example I know of the best place to get that receiver that has like 3 HDMI inputs, 5.1 surround for audiophiles, the place to find the latest phones and virtually any gadget that you covet. They are Anisuma Traders opposite the Stanley Hotel, Samchi electronics at Barclays Towers and Anisuma traders in Parklands at Diamond plaza.
So why don’t you go ahead and show me what you got. All this is for a good cause for the tech savvy, and those that would like to embrace this lifestyle. Let’s make it big.
