Price Wars.

It has been a long journey to this so called price wars. Remember the days when making a call from Safaricom to Ken-cell could set you back as much as kshs50. This due to high interconectivity charges amongst the players.
Now we have the emergence of price wars that have seen companies like YU come up with voice and text plans. Safaricom has an offer of unlimited internet for a week at a cost of kshs 999 same as Orange. The only problem is that all this offers are aimed at locking in existing users which I think is not a good idea. I know we all have more than one sim card just to catch the best of both worlds. Will it not be good to have the interconnection charges done away with? I only make a called when talking to my boss, folks and thats it. Because the rest of you can be accessed by facebook, skype or twitter.
All in all I cant wait for this war to get into the data side of it. What are this doing with excess bandwidth? How can Uganda have the fastest connection on the continent?
Go on chop chop and give us the value for our money.
