The Nokia Lumia 920 Is Packed With A Lot Of Innovation
Nokia has placed a lot of time and effort into
the design of its flagship Lumia 920. The phone features a curved glass display and the company is
excited about expanding its color story. The Lumia 920 will be available in Black, White, Grey, Red, and
Yellow.
"The 920 offers personality, style, and a little bit of
panache," says Kevin Shield, SVP of Nokia Program and Product
Management
Sleek and smooth, no camera bump or disturbance.
Key innovations of this device include its easy to use display,
wireless charging, exclusive applications, and an amazing camera. Nokia is
super proud of the display on the 920. It is the fastest LCD display ever
shipped on a smartphone. The 920 sports a resolution higher than 720p. The
920 comes with integrated wireless charging and there are several accessories
you can choose to take advantage of this feature. "Keeping your battery
topped off is now easy and simple."
The JBL Power Up is a wireless charging speaker accessory that
charges and plays music. It looks pretty cool. Nokia has also announced their
Nokia Music service. Nokia Music is an iTunes-like experience and is only going
to be in the US for the start. This new service should be available in the
Windows Phone Marketplace right now that is if you are in the US.
The 920 also features exclusive apps. The camera can do a lot.
- · City Lens uses your camera as a way to explore the real world around you. As you move around you can discover restaurants and other businesses in your local area.
- · Cinemagraphic is another feature that animates selected parts of a photo.
- · Smart Shoot technology allows you to just start recording and choose the photos you like. You can tap on a moving subject and the phone can remove that.
Nokia wanted to get
more light to the camera sensor. For you camera buffs the 920 has a large
aperture -- f2.0.
Kevin Shield says
that the whole camera module is "up to 50 percent more effective than
other high-end cameras.
Nice phone, though some reported issues with wireless charging but still great technology.
