The iPhone at five years old [Infographic]
It’s been five years since the
first iPhone set the world on fire, and to put things in better perspective we
have an awesome infographic to show you (below). Apple changed the game with
the iPhone by making it cool to have an all touchscreen handset — doing away
with the traditional physical keyboard (the industry standard at the time).
Now these additions have become standard protocol for all smartphones
hitting today’s market. Apple continued to innovate by introducing stunning
breakthroughs in the iPhone’s industrial design with better materials, size
(thinness), and screen pixel density. The phone not only changed the way the
world looks at a phone, it also changed Apple as a company generating $150 billion since its inception.
In 2007, the iPhone was miniscule to the Cupertino based
company’s bottom line, now it accounts for 58 percent of the company’s cash
flow — help making it the wealthiest company in the world. Take a look at the
nicely put together Infographic of the uncanny rise of the iPhone.
