Samsung ships more than 5 million Galaxy Notes

I must say there many people who did doubt Samsung when the went ahead to launch a 5inch "Phablet" complete with a stylus. Now this very mobile telecommunication is a hit having hit the five million mark in sales in just 5 months. You will have to agree with me that the "Phablet" approach is quiet a tricky approach but Samsung did nail it right. I have had an encounter with the gadget and hey! this thing is for real with regard to size but the looks and Specs do it more than justice. It is currently retailing at Kshs 65K after it launched here less than two months ago. The Galaxy Note features a dual-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, 32GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a massive 5.2-inch WXGA Super AMOLED display. While the handset is clearly too big for many users, it appears that there is indeed a large market for the phone, and Samsung is well on its way to reaching its goal of 10 million Galaxy Notes sold by the end of 2012.
