What do people think about the new iPad

Apple introduced its new iPad Yesterday and several technology journalists got some hands-on time with the device after the event. While most reviews couldn’t test out the LTE connectivity or the camera, they did get to see the device and most  walked away impressed by the quality of the retina display. Most also commented on the “sameness,” noting that the new iPad was slightly heavier, but had the same overall shape and size as the iPad 2.

Engadget: “There’s no doubt that this here tablet feels every bit like a $500 product, oozing quality from edge to edge and being as delightful as ever to use.”
The Verge: “Just as when we first saw the iPhone 4 display, the New iPad’s 2048 x 1536 screen is stunning to behold. Simply put, there’s no other product like it on the market.”
CNET: “The iPad’s new screen specs are impressive. That’s really all you need to know about the new iPad.”
Laptop Magazine: ” The text on the Retina Display is so sharp that we could barely believe our eyes. ”
Mashable: “But what I can confirm is how incredibly gorgeous that resolution looks. You can’t tear your eyes away from it.”
TechCrunch: “But from a normal distance, the text is so clear and the overall visual effect is so smooth, I can’t help myself.”
Gdgt: “Amazing. Seriously amazing. I really love the Retina Display on the iPhone 4/4S, but this feels like a step forward even from that.”
Wired Gadget Lab: “Yes, the pixel density is world-class, but the Retina Display is no longer breath-taking the way it was when it was first introduced in June 2010. It’s a welcome addition to the iPad line, yes, but it no longer reeks of breakthrough technology.”
