SONY ACQUIRES THE 50% SHARE FROM ERICSSON, WHAT WILL BE THE NAME OF THE NEXT PHONE FROM SONY?

It’s barely ten years that we saw the partnership of Sony and Ericsson that brought forth the most amazing mobile phones. This was a force to recon with from all the players from the 90s and the early 2000s. It was no lie that Sony Ericson was running away with this until the birth of iPhone.
This was a partnership that saw the birth of very futuristic gadgets and boy oh boy I have been a fan boy so I know how it felt having my first Sony Ericsson phone.
The product range was quit diverse you know from the music phones to Business phones and camera phones that were just to die for. Even before the advent of 3G in many parts of the world, they had phones with front facing cameras… Sony Ericsson is the only mobile phone company that produced phones that were used James Bond in a movie such as the Quantum of solace.

Just when the company was planning to get back on its feet after a few years of lose making and re strategizing that had seen recent profits with the betting on Android and the introduction Xperia range of smart phones this happens. But it is not a bad thing at all for both parties. There has been a great synergy between Sony, Android and Ericsson in the development of near perfect mobile communication gadgets but now this means that Both Sony and Ericsson will be able to focus on their strengths.
Sony already connects more people and delivers more entertainment than any other company on Earth. This move will see the evolution at least of the Sony brand on mobile devices, with more shared branding and co-branding as well as more Sony branding – but it will also open new doors. This is the only way to go if any company wants to get into this business of mobile communication or let’s just say compatibility matters. In this way Sony will be able to compete with the likes of Samsung and LG who have a wide range of products that can interact.
As Sony’s phone business moves to making smartphones, ditching the low-margin feature phones, it will finally have the chance to connect the connected world the company has been talking about for years”. That means one team that will be able to focus on Sony’s ultimate ambition to deliver content, whether its movies or music, across devices, from phones to tablets to TVs and computers.
I am very sure will agree with me that Sony is big the world over and it is more recognizable than even Samsung.... Lets see what the future has to offer.
